The Goleta Valley South Little League 10-Under All Stars suffered a 12-1 loss to Highland of San Bernardino on Saturday in the first game of the best-of-three series for the South State Championship.
Highland, the So Cal South Sub-Division champion, built a 12-0 lead after three innings. Goleta Valley South’s lone run came on a homer.
The teams play Game 2 on Sunday at 3 p.m., at El Cerrito Sports Complex in Corona. If a third game is needed, it will be played Monday.
