Basketball star Bolden Brace joined the Santa Barbara High boys beach volleyball team and went 1-1 with partner Cord Pereira in matche wins against Camarillo and Arroyo Grande on Saturday at Ventura Harbor.
Brace and Pereira, the setter on the varsity indoor team, beat Camarillo in two games and lost in three against Arroyo Grande.
Rowan Peake and JM Cage swept Camarillo and Dons Piper Davis and Henry Hancock beat Camarillo in two games.
Coach John Hancock switched some players around for the second match against Arroyo Grande. Henry Hancock partnered with Peake and won their match in three games, and Cage and Davis won in two straight.
