The Foresters stranded 11 baserunners and dropped a 3-2 decision to the Southern California Catch in a California Collegiate League baseball game Friday at Biola University in La Mirada.
The Foresters had runners reach third base in the first, second and seventh innings and failed to score. In the eighth, John Holland led off with a double but he was left stranded.
The Catch took a 3-2 lead in the sixth on a two-run homer by Cooper Esmay off Forester starter Gary Cornish.
Cornish finished with 9 strikeouts in 7 innings and worked out of three bases-loaded jams during the first, second and fifth innings.
The Foresters gave him a 2-1 lead in the fourth on back-to-back doubles by Holland and Dylan Paul.
Santa Barbara is now 8-2 overall and 3-2 in the CCL.
