Dos Pueblos needed a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat San Marcos on Friday as the Chargers eked out a 2-1 victory.
“We had a slow start to the game but found a way to win,” said Chargers head coach Jon Uyesaka.
Dos Pueblos was celebrating senior day. There are eight total and seven of the seniors have been with the program for four years and Uyesaka noted that he’s coached many of them since before that.
“I have so many fond memories of this group of girls and families, I will really miss them in the years to come,” Uyesaka said. “They are all going to college next year, I couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments on and off the diamond.”
Dos Pueblos has no games in its final week of the regular season and awaits the CIF Division 4 bracket that is released next weekend.
