Bishop Diego suffered a 9-2 defeat on Tuesday to Santa Clara in a Frontier League game.
Isabella Gregson homered in the fourth inning when the Cardinals scored both of their runs. Lindsay Bosio tripled home Bishop Diego’s other run.
Santa Clara took a 3-0 lead in the first inning and added three more to its lead in the third.
Even with the loss we are still fighting for a playoff spot. I am hoping we can continue to improve and make the playoffs for the team, especially for our Seniors,” noted Bishop Diego head coach John Ceriale.
The Cardinals play next at home on Thursday against Grace Brethren.
