Bishop Diego went on an offensive tear and beat Connelly, 22-2, in a CIF Division 7 wild-card softball game on Tuesday in Anaheim.
“We had an outstanding game,” coach John Ceriale said. “Our hitting and fielding all came together for this playoff game.”
Lindsay Bosio, Isabella Gregson and Kylie Koeper each had four hits. Koeper hit two homers and a double, Bosio smacked a homer and two doubles and Gregson hit a grand slam and two doubles. Bishop Diego rapped out 18 hits.
The Cardinals play a first-round game Thursday at Hesperia in Victorville.
