A Santa Barbara High comeback fell short against Newbury Park at the Chatsworth Baseball Tournament, losing 6-5 on Saturday.
The Dons trailed 5-2 after two innings, but they cut it to 6-5 in the seventh after a two-run homer by Trevor Moropoulos. The Panthers held on to win the game.
Moropoulos had a big game at the plate, adding a double and single and driving in four runs. Christian Loza had three singles.
Jeff Tincher and Alex Vega each had 3 hits for the Panthers, who totaled 11 for the afternoon.
Santa Barbara is 14-11 on the season.
