Dos Pueblos scored six runs in the sixth inning and knocked off Alemany, 7-3 in a non-league baseball game on Saturday. Alemany is ranked sixth in the L.A. Times Southland Poll.
With the Chargers hitless and down 2-0, Gio Macias came off the bench to start the rally in the sixth. He was hit by a pitch and advanced to third on a double by Travis Craven. Drake Hawn laced a ball to right field to score Macias but was thrown out at first by the right fielder.
Luke Coffey drove in Craven with a double to tie the score at 2-2. Dustin Demeter and Nick Noggle reached base to load the bases for Jessie Speier. He delivered with a two-out, two-run single off the right-field fence. Michael Boelter reached base on an error to make it 5-2 and Macias doubled in a run for a 6-2 lead.
DP starter Josh Knight gave up two in the first and then settled down and didn’t allow a run over the next four innings. Craven threw out two runners at first from right field and went 2-for-3 at the plate/
