CASSIDY DRURY-PULLEN EARNS AA RATING WINNING A RATED TOURNAMENT AT ROSECRANS BEACH IN MANHATTAN BEACH WITH PARTNER GINA LIPSCOMB
Cassidy Drury-Pullen, of Santa Barbara, and partner Gina Lipscomb of Orange County, paired up to compete in the CBVA “A” rated adult event held on May 3, 2015, in Manhattan Beach, California. Drury-Pullen is a sophomore at San Marcos High School. Both Drury-Pullen and Lipscomb train with Elite Beach Volleyball Club under the direction of Olympians Holly McPeak, Eric Fonimonoa, Barbra Fontana and Nicole Branagh.
Drury-Pullen and Lipscomb dominated pool play early in the day not dropping a single game. The pair received a “bye” in the first round of playoffs then battled through three rounds of play-offs winning each contest. The pair won the finals 28-24 earning their AA rating at this event.
Drury-Pullen plays for San Marcos High School varsity indoor and sand volleyball teams.
Drury-Pullen plays this weekend, May 10, in the USAV Beach Junior Beach Tour event to be held in Hermosa Beach.
