Niels Anderson of San Marcos survived an eight-player playoff and advanced to the CIF Individual Golf Finals on Monday at the Northern Regional Tournament at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo.
Anderson was one of six golfers to qualify with a 3-over par 74. Bennett Reichard of the Royals also shot 74 but missed qualifying.
Twenty golfers advanced to the championship at Mission Lakes CC in Desert Hot Springs on May 21.
Bryant Falconello of Loyola was the medalist with a 2-under par 69. Connor Morikawa of La Cañada and Spencer Soosman of Westlake each shot 70.
