San Marcos High standout Niels Andersen fired a 5-under 65 Sunday to take four-shot lead after the second round of the Santa Barbara City Golf Championships at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Andersen, who will be competing for the Royals later in the week at the SCGA-CIF Championships at Brookside CC in Pasadena, leads Tyler Ley, a former Royal who played on a state championship team in 2001. Santa Barbara High golf team member Brandon Crane and Cody Hall of Murrieta are five strokes back at 138.
First-round leader Manny Manzone shot a 75 on Sunday and dropped seven shots off the lead at 140. Former champion Brandon Gama is at 141.
