Santa Barbara High’s boys tennis season came to an end Saturday, as the Dons were beaten by Northwood, 13-5, in the second round of the CIF Division 1 playoffs.
Jordan Rodnick scored two set wins in singles to lead Santa Barbara (15-3). Northwood is 16-5.
“I was proud of the way our guys competed but it just was not our day,” Santa Barbara coach Greg Tebbe said. “Our players had a great season and it is always bittersweet when you lose in the playoffs because your season ends so abruptly.”
The match was rescheduled from Friday due to rain in Orange County.
