Santa Barbara High’s CIF opener went according to plan as the Dons dominated visiting Culver City, 16-2, in the first round of the Division-1 playoff.
None of the Dons starters lost a set as the Dons took a 12-0 lead after two rounds. Harry deBoer and Max Mercurio led the singles effort with 3-0 days. In doubles, Tyler Greenwald and Taggart Mills took three sets without a loss.
The Dons, seeded No. 6 in the 32-team bracket, face the winner of La Canada and Northwood on Friday at a location to be determined.
Culver City finishes its season with a record of 13-6. Santa Barbara is 15-2.
