The Warriors’ track & field team hosted a mini Spring Break Invitational on Wednesday welcoming Cate, Oak Park, Villanova, Foothill Tech and Thacher to Carpinteria Valley Memorial Stadium.
Cate’s Joel Serugo jumped 21 feet, 9 3/4 inches in the long jump and 43′ 9 1/2″ in the triple jump, winning both events. Serugo was second in the 100-meter sprint to Oak Park’s Nick Nguyen, who also won the 200.
Stephanie Williamson accomplished the same double for Oak Park on the girls side in capturing the 100 and 200. Oak Park dominated in the girls competition, winning all events but three.
Two of those went to Annalisa DeAlba for the host Warriors in the shot put and discus.
