San Marcos finished third in the women’s invitational 1600 sprint relay on Friday at the Arcadia Invitational track and field meet.
The Royals clocked 4:03.87, finishing behind Los Alamitos (3:58.63) and St. Mary’s of Stockton (4:01.68). The team consisted of Jenny Nnoli (200), Danielle Anderson (200), Delaney Werner (400 in :59.) and Erica Schroeder (800 in 2:12).
In other local results on the first day of the prestigious two-day meet, Daniel Nofrey of Dos Pueblos placed eighth in the men’s high jump at 6 feet and the DP 4×800 relay team placed 18th in the men’s seeded race in 8:22.92.
