Cate’s swim teams torpedoed Carpinteria on Monday in a dual meet. The boys score was 111-78 and the girls score 90-79.
Despite the losses, the Warriors had several notable highlights. Noah Reed lowered his season best in the 500 freestyle, already a CIF automatic qualifying mark.
Carpinteria junior Kelly Griffin scored two individual victories for the Warriors in the 50 and 100 freestyle races. Griffin’s 50 free was in CIF consideration time. The Warriors totaled 14 CIF automatic and consideration times in total.
