Rachelle Visser set a meet record at the Pasadena Invitational women’s swim meet on Friday and SBCC is in fourth place out of 17 schools after the first day.
Visser swam 2:08.61 to break her school record in the 200 individual medley. Alaina Chela was sixth in 2:18.26. Katherine Warren was fourth in the 500 free (5:26.50) and Ashley Macedo took seventh in the 50 free in 25.40.
Orange Coast leads with 247.5 points, followed by Diablo Valley (184) and Golden West (153). The Vaqueros are fourth with 142 points.
“We swam very well with four school records,” said coach Chuckie Roth. “We had some swims that set us up well for State. It was a fun first day for us.”
SBCC will compete in the final day of the Pasadena Invite on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m.
