Rachelle Visser won the 200 butterfly and 400 IM, setting school records in both events, on the final day of the Pasadena Invitational women’s swim meet.
Visser broke the meet record by 7.4 seconds in the 400 IM in 4:39.70. She was clocked in 2:11.55 in the 200 fly.
There were 18 meet records set by the men and women in the two-day event that featured 17 schools. Orange Coast won the women’s title with 673.5 points. Golden West was second with 479, followed by Diablo Valley (468) and SBCC ( 414.5).
SBCC also set a school record in the 400 free relay, taking third in 3:42.01. Madelyn Brooks led off, followed by Alaina Chela, Ashley Macedo and Visser.
Katherine Warren took second in the 1650 free in a school-record time of 18:39.6.
“As a team, we swam incredibly well,” said coach Chuckie Roth. “Madelyn Brooks was great all weekend and was part of the 400 and 800 free relays. I couldn’t be more pleased with my team.
“Everyone competed and showed improvement. This sets us up well for the WSC Championships.”
The Vaqueros will compete in the WSC Championships on April 16-18 at Ventura College.
