The Dos Pueblos boys swim team set three meet records and a pool record at the Mt. SAC Meet of Champions on Saturday.
The Chargers won seven of 11 events and finished fourth as a team. Alex Valente and Walker Bell each won two event and were part of two winning relay teams. Valente set a meet and pool record in winning the 100 butterfly in 47.37. He also set a meet record in the prelims of the 100 back with a time of 49.68. In the finals, he won in 49.72.
Bell won the 200 individual medley in 1:51.93 and took the 500 freestyle in 4:34.84.
Blake Parrish was an individual event winner, taking the 100 breaststroke in 58.13.
Theo Velikov placed in two events. He took fourth in the 100 free in 48.30 and was seventh in the 200 free in 1:46.80.
In the relays, the first-place 200 medley team of Bell, Parrish, Valente and Velikov clocked 1:33.89, less than a second off their meet record from last year.
The 400 free relay quartet of Velikov, Bell, Parrish and Valente capped the competition with a meet-record time of 3:07.79.
The Dos Pueblos girls placed 10th in the team competition. Reagan Eickert, Cassandra Barkhorn and Courtney Nuttall posted top-five finishes. Eickert was fourth in the 200 free in 1:55.47; Barkhorn placed fifth in the 500 free in 5:06.47 and Nuttall took fourth in the 100 back in 1:01.13.
In other results, Eickert finished eighth in the 500 free (5:12.66), Barkhorn was seventh in the 200 IM (2:11.56) and Nuttall was 12th in the 100 fly (1:00.13).
The team of Nuttall, Ryann Neushul, Barkhorn and Eickert came in third in the 400 free relay in 3:43.12.
