The five runs scored in the third inning proved to be the decider for the Bishop Diego softball as the Cardinals went on to win 13-8.
Isabella Gregson and Kylie Koeper were 2-4 with two doubles each while Marissa Cordero went 2-4 with a double. Lindsay Bosio was 1-3 with a double. Cheyanne Dodge also contributed going 1-3 while playing a stellar defensive game.
“We improved both offensively, with 10 hits, and defensively with only a single error,” said coach John Ceriale.
The Cardinals will play Foothill Tech on Tuesday.
