A late-inning rally came up short for Bishop Diego on Wednesday in a 13-10 setback to Channel Islands.
The Cardinals trailed 10-2 heading into the bottom half of the fifth inning. Bishop scored eight runs in the final three innings but ultimately couldn’t catch the Raiders.
Isabella Gregson and Lindsay Bosio led the team with two hits each. Kylie Koeper and Sarah Leicht provided some pop with extra-base hits. Kara Murray, Marissa Cordero, Cheyanne Dodge and Michaela Maguire were also in the hit department.
Bishop Diego faces rival Carpinteria in its next game on Monday.
