Justin Lehman’s seven goals and two assists helped San Marcos secure a 10-8 victory over Simi Valley on Wednesday.
The Royals trailed by three goals at halftime but rallied for the victory against a team that San Marcos had lost to earlier in the season.
Jack Palmer’s two goals and one by Trey Tank filled out San Marcos’ scoring column. Royals head coach Rick Lehman credited his long stick midfielder Giovanni Fuentes for a strong defensive performance. Goalie Mason Little stopped over a dozen shots to help give San Marcos an opportunity to rally.
The Royals play again this week on Friday at Laguna Blanca.
