Junior Cole Brennan scored three goals and assisted on five others and Keller Mochel poured in five goals, powering Cate to a 21-4 boys lacrosse win over Viewpoint on Tuesday.
Patrick Thomas and Gair Pearson each added three goals for the Rams. The duo of Carter Minor and Christian Burke dominated the draws, winning 24 of 29 face-offs.
“The second half was the best our defense has played all season,” Cate coach Philip Keebler said. ” They stepped it up after an average first half, and made it difficult for the Patriots to get quality shots.
Kian O’Connor made seven saves in goal, playing behind the defense of Henry Dawson, Peter Kim, Ben Jessup, Warren Giles and Rei Imada.
