Bishop Diego came through with its best Tri-Valley League result of the season on Thursday as the Cardinals placed second at Soule Park in Ojai.
St. Bonaventure’s 417 won the event, followed by Bishop Diego’s 432. Grace Brethren, Nordhoff and Villanova finished in that order.
Ryan Mikles’ 78 led the Cardinals. Mathew Pate’s 81 and Alex Bollag’s 84 were strong scores for Bishop, supported by Austin Borgatello at 94 and Chad Damron at 95.
Joey Herrera of St. Bonaventure was medalist with a one-over 72.
