Brandon Crane earned medalist honors with a 76, leading his three-man Santa Barbara High team to the championship at the Lompoc Invitational on Monday at La Purisima Golf Course.
Torin Bjorklund shot a 78 and Preston Gomersall carded an 83 to give the Dons a team total of 237 in the 14-teams event. St. Francis was second at 253.
“This win was a big confidence boost for the Dons going into a tough second half of the season,” coach Billy Spratt said. “Torin put in a lot of practice time over the spring break and we need his good play the rest of the season. ”
The Dons second team shot a 259 and finished 6th overall. Lachlan Mitchell posted an 84, Fabio Rodriguez an 85 and Austin Coombs 90.
