Niels Andersen’s 71 led San Marcos past Buena 377-442 during a Channel League golf match on Tuesday afternoon at Olivas Links.
With his low score, Andersen won the medalist of the match for the Royals. Bennett Reichard was not far behind with an even par 72. Chad Visser shot a 75 while Sam Metzger tallied a score of 78.
“With three straight rounds of even par or better for Niels, he is playing really well right now,” said San Marcos head coach Aaron Solis.
With the victory, the Royals (6-0 league) clinch at least a tie for the Channel League title with only two matches remaining.
