With balanced play throughout, the Bishop Diego boys volleyball team dominated Foothill Tech in a straight-set sweep in a Tri-Valley league affair at home on Thursday.
The match concluded with the final score of 25-17, 25-14, 25-20.
The Cardinals displayed powerful net play through the trio of John Harris, Austin Bohnett and Luca Jordano. They combined to put away a collective 31 kills with 11, 12, and 8 respectively. Jordano also knocked in four aces on the day.
“This was a grest team win for us,” said coach Jason Donnelly. “We played consistent throughout the match and avoided any letdowns.”
Donnelly also credited the performance of libero Sean Tetherow saying, ” He had his best match of the year. He was active in serve receive and on defense and made some nice plays.”
Bishop Diego improves to 7-6 overall, 6-2 in league and is set to host Fillmore on Tuesday.
