Carpinteria’s boys tennis team had an easy-going 10-8 non-league victory over Santa Clara on Friday.
Although the score was close, it was a nice, relaxed match as the boys played loose and seemed to really enjoy being out there today,” said Warriors head coach Charles Bryant.
Carpinteria’s top doubles team of Bryan Taira and Jeremy Saito swept three sets. The other teams of Francis Aguilera/Sammy Gutierrez and Simon Priest/Juan Hernandez captured two each.
Jonathan Cleek went 2-0 in singles before being subbed out for the third round.
The Warriors improve to 7-6, 1-2.
