Santa Barbara had a spotless record on Wednesday in an 18-0 dismantling of Ventura in a Channel League match. The victory improved the Dons’ record to 7-0 and clinched their 15th straight league title outright.
The singles lineup of Taggart Mills, Harry deBoer and Logan Lender all claimed three sets without a loss. The undefeated doubles lineup saw some changes through the match.
“I was especially proud of our freshman doubles team of Dylan Brown and Aman Atakeer who won the final match of the day by the score of 6-4,” reported Dons head coach Greg Tebbe. “They battled for every point and maintained their intensity even though the overall team match had already been won. I love their passion for the game.”
The Dons, ranked No. 7 in CIF Division 1, are playing at the Ojai Tournament on Thursday and Friday.
