Quinn Hensley took a turn at singles on Thursday, netting two points for his Dos Pueblos Chargers in a 15-3 Channel League victory at Ventura.
Hensley, normally a doubles player for the Chargers this season, won two sets and lost his third in a tiebreaker. Miles Baldwin anchored DP’s singles lineup with a three-set sweep. The Chargers were without Patrick Corpuz and Joshua Wang.
The doubles lineup was undefeated throughout the match. The Chargers flooded the courts with players and all grabbed a victory. Bryce Ambrose/Vincent Villano swept three sets, Chris Lane/Mason Dochterman took one, and Ameet Braganza won two with two partners, Ryan Daniel and Garret Foreman, while the teams of Daniel/Christian Hodosy and Yanik Koster/Jeffrey McDaniel also won sets.
Dos Pueblos (12-3, 5-1) hosts Mira Costa on Friday at Cathedral Oaks Athletic Club. Ventura falls to 1-4 in Channel League play.
