Dos Pueblos got double wins from three swimmers on the boys and girls teams, leading the Chargers to a sweep over Santa Barbara High in a Channel League dual meet on Thursday at the Elings Aquatic Center
Alex Valente, Walker Bell and Theodore Velikov led the way for the Charger boys in a 109-77 victory.
Courtney Nuttall, Reagan Eickert and Cassandra Barkhorn paced the DP girls to a 109-73 win. Nuttall captured the 100 butterfly in 1:02.45 and won the 100 backstroke in 1:04.84. Eickert took the 100 freestyle (55.45) and 200 free (1:57.81). Barkhorn won the 500 free (5:10.80) and 200 individual medley (2:12.12).
For Santa Barbara, Kristina Garcia won the 50 free and placed second in the 100 back. Jessee Ransone finished second in the 200 and 500 free. Nina Enholm took second in diving.
Valente, the defending CIF champion in the 100 fly, won his specialty in 50:32, and took the 100 back in 54.84. Bell was first in the 200 IM (1:56.24) and 500 free (4:40.49). Velikov doubled in the 100 free (49.13) and 200 free (1:48.03).
Sawyer Rhodes of Santa Barbara tied Velikov in the 100 free and took top honors in the 50 free. Ben Brewer and Cuyler Gabriel each earned two second-place finishes. In diving, Giacomo Buffoni led a Dons sweep.
