A handful of Chargers won double events for Dos Pueblos on Tuesday in a tri-meet with San Luis Obispo and Orcutt Academy at Elings Aquatics Center.
Cassandra Barkhorn, Reagan Eikert, Walker Bell, Blake Parrish and Theodore Velikov all won at least two events to lead both Dos Pueblos teams to victory. The boys team accumulated 162 points while the girls finished with 124.5 to SLO’s 116.
On the boys side, senior Walker Bell won the 100 backstroke and recorded a CIF consideration time of 4:44 in the 500 free. Senior Blake Parrish was the fastest in the 100 breaststroke and the 50 free. His time of 1:00.29 in the 100 breast was another CIF consideration time.
Sophomore Theodore Velikov had a nice showing with victories in the 100 and 200 freestyle. Chargers head coach Chris Parrish credited Velikov for great improvement since last season.
Barkhorn and Eickert led the girls team. Barkhorn won the 500 free and 200 IM. Eickert claimed the 200 free, 100 free and 4×100 free relay.
