Madison Pickett and Jade Sinskul homered to lead a 14-hit attack as Dos Pueblos romped to an 8-0 softball win over Fillmore in the PacView Challenge Tournament on Wednesday.
Veronika Gulvin pitched a three-hitter and struck out 16.
“She had great command of the zone,” coach Jon Uyesaka said. “Both (catchers) Sinskul and Uyesaka did a great job mixing up the pitches and keeping the hitters guessing.” Gulvin didn’t allow a walk.
Offensively, Lauren Marmo went 4-for-4 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs. Madison Buie was 2-for-2
DP has its annual Alumni Game on Saturday at high noon. The team is then off for spring break until April 10.
