Oxnard scored two runs in the seventh inning with two outs to beat Santa Barbara High 4-2 in a non-league baseball game at Eddie Mathews Field on Tuesday.
It was the fourth straight loss for the Dons (6-4). Oxnard, ranked 10th in the CIF Division 2 poll, improves to 11-1.
Santa Barbara starter Trevor Moropoulos gave up a run in the first inning and then held Oxnard scoreless until the seventh. He struck out six, walked two and allowed two singles.
The Yellowjackets got a good outing from Antonio Gaxiola. He allowed two runs on five hits, while striking out three and walking two. The win went to reliever Dalton Pagano who allowed the Dons four hits and a walk but no runs.
The Dons scored both of their runs in the fourth on a two-out RBI triple by Dalton Schroeder and a single by catcher Cristian Loza.
Santa Barbara returns to Channel League play on Friday at first-place Buena.
