Santa Barbara High continued its scoring frustrations on Saturday, losing to L.A. Kennedy 2-0 in the Chatsworth Tournament.
Kennedy pitcher Gilbert Hernandez held the Dons to five hits in six innings. He struck out 11 and walked two. Santa Barbara stranded eight base runners.
Matt Murray made his first start for Santa Barbara and struck out seven, while allowing seven hits. Daniel McKinney pitched three hitless innings in relief.
Kennedy scored its runs on a two-out single in the fourth inning.
The loss was the third straight for Santa Barbara (6-3).
