RJ Cordeiro’s home run on Friday was his fourth in the past five games, and Bishop Diego benefited in an 8-4 victory over Nordhoff.
Cordeiro rocked a three-run round-tripper to cap Bishop Diego’s six-run second inning. The Cardinals took a 6-1 lead and added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. It was Cordeiro’s sixth homer of the season.
Matt Shotwell was another offensive standout for going 3-3 with two RBI. Freshman Will Goodwin pitched a complete game allowing three earned runs.
The Cardinals host St. Bonaventure on Tuesday in their next game.
