Jonathan Sloan drove home four runs for Dos Pueblos on Thursday in a 9-1 non-league victory over Northglenn, Colo.
The Chargers gave up a run in the top of the first inning but answered with three runs in the bottom half and took an 8-1 lead with five more in the second inning.
Sloan was 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles batting fifth in the order. Dustin Demeter and Chris Noggle both had two hits and two RBIs each. Noggle’s run-scoring triple in the first inning sparked the Chargers offense.
Josh Knight started and pitched the first three innings. Kyle Ownsby relieved Knight and threw three scoreless innings followed by a scoreless seventh from Demeter.
