Hide Yoshihara of Woodbridge shot a 5-under 67 at Sandpiper Golf Course on Friday to lead the Warriors past host San Marcos, 370-389.
Woodbridge improves to 6-0 on the season while San Marcos suffers its first loss at 4-1.
“This was a fun high school match to be a part of,” reported Royals coach Aaron Solis. “Woodbridge is one the ranked teams in Orange County and is one of the favorites to win their division. This was a great experience for us and we will only get better because of it.”
Niels Andersen led San Marcos with a 73. Chris Wong (75), Chad Visser (77), Andrew Rice (78) and Braden Curtis (86) rounded out the Royals’ scorecard.
