The date of the CIF-Southern Section Division 2AA girls basketball semifinal game between Santa Barbara High and Redondo Union has been changed to Wednesday. It was originally slated for Tuesday.
Santa Barbara requested the date change because its boys basketball team is playing Tuesday night at Redlands East Valley in the Division 2A semifinals.
The girls game will tip off at 7 p.m.
Redondo (22-6) is the top-seeded team in the 2AA division. The Seahawks will be making their second trip to Santa Barbara. They played in the Tournament of Champions back in December and finished in fourth place, losing to Sierra Canyon and Oaks Christian.
Santa Barbara (23-5) is the No. 4 seed. The Dons are coming off their biggest offensive performance of the season, an 89-76 win at Summit in Fontana. Amber Melgoza scored 50 points in the game, breaking her previous single-game school record of 48.
Wednesday’s winner will play the winner of No. 2 Mira Costa vs. No. 6 Norco on Saturday at the Felix Events Center at Azusa Pacific University.
