Bishop Diego and Bloomington Christian will play their CIF-Southern Section Division 5A girls basketball championship game on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Godinez High in Santa Ana, the CIF-SS announced.
The game is a match-up between the top two teams in the division. The second-ranked Cardinals are 22-8 and No. 1 Bloomington Christian is 26-3.
Bishop Diego is in the CIF Finals for the first time since 1989. It lost to Mission Prep. The Cardinals last won the title in 1978.
