Laguna Blanca couldn’t get over the hump in the first set on Friday against St. Margaret’s, the No. 2 team in Division 4, and lost 29-27, 25-12, 26-24 in Merovick Gym.
The Owls, ranked No. 3 in Division 5, had set points in games 1 and 3 but couldn’t finish it off. Chris Constantino led the Owls in the kills department with 14 (24 attempts, 2 errors) and Pierce O’Donnell piled up 32 digs.
“All in all, a great early season test to prove we have lots of things to work on before we make our push through CIF,” said Owls head coach Dillan Bennett.
