Despite an impressive performance from Connor Everman, the San Marcos boys volleyball team was unable to overcome Valencia in a riveting five-game battle at the Thunderhut on Tuesday. The Royals came out on the lower end of a 25-23, 26-24, 15-25, 19-25, 9-15 decision.
Everman was the catalyst for the Royals offense as he finished with 12 kills on the day. Ian McLain and Kevin Peters hammered a collective 14 kills at seven apiece.
The Royals host Dos Pueblos in a much-anticipated rivalry affair on Thursday.
