The San Marcos boys volleyball team lost a hard-fought battle to South Pasadena in five sets during a non-league matchup at the Thunderhut on Tuesday night. The Royals fell to the Tigers by a score of 19-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 15-10.
“The guys battled hard against a good team,” said San Marcos head coach Jon Newton. “In the long run, they had more fire power than us on the outside and we weren’t able to stop it.”
Connor Everman lead the Royals with 12 kills from the outside. Ian McLain chipped in with seven blocks while libero Sean Estabrooks had 9 digs.
With the defeat, San Marcos falls to 6-2 overall this season. The Royals take to the road to matchup with Westlake on Thursday.
