The San Marcos boys volleyball team defeated Buena in three sets during a Channel League matchup on Thursday night at the Thunderhut. The Royals defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 25-20, 25-16, 25-15.
“I give a lot of credit to Buena, who played a good game and had some spectacular plays on defense,” said San Marcos head coach Jon Newton.
The Royals were led by Dane Pederson, who had 12 kills on the night. Joe Terre had an effective game as libero, tallying six digs for San Marcos.
With the victory, the Royals improve their record to 3-3 overall, 1-1 in league. San Marcos plays host to Valencia on Tuesday.
