Bishop Diego went down in defeat to Mission Prep on Tuesday in San Luis Obispo 26-24, 27-25, 25-15. The non-league loss was Bishop’s first of the season.
The Cardinals were in a position to win the first two sets but let the match get away according to head coach Jason Donnelly.
“We let the first two games slip away with some unforced errors late and didn’t respond well down 0-2,” Donnelly said.
Freshman John Harris led the team with eight kills. Mike Agnoli collected five kills and two blocks.
“Hopefully we can learn some valuable lessons from this loss,” Donnelly said.
Bishop Diego (2-1, 1-0) returns to the court on Thursday in another non-league match against Santa Ynez.
