Middles Ian McLain and Jake Castanha each put away 12 kills, leading San Marcos to a 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 28-26 non-league boys volleyball win at Santa Ynez on Wednesday night.
Setter Greg Kronen handed out 47 assists as the Royals won their second match in as many nights.
Coach Jon Newton said Santa Ynez gave his team a tough match.
“Santa Ynez played great defense. They kept us on our toes. There were a lot of exciting rallies,” said Newton.
San Marcos plays at the Redondo Union Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
