Despite an avid performance from Luca Jordano, the Bishop Diego boys volleyball team fell in a 25-14, 25-16, 25-16 sweep against Santa Ynez on the road on Thursday.
Jordano tallied 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 aces while Julian Skarston contributed in the serve/receive game at the Libero position.
“While the scores may not reflect it, we played really well and competed the whole night,” said coach Jason Donnelly. “We were a little outmatched physically but stepped up to the challenge and got some great experience”
The Cardinals fall to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in league and are set to travel on Tuesday to play Foothill Tech for their second Tri-Valley league matchup of the season.
