The Bishop Diego boys volleyball team swept past Nordhoff in straight sets during Tri-Valley League matchup on Thursday evening. The Cardinals defeated the Rangers by a score of 25-15, 25-20, 25-11.
“This was our most complete match of the season,” said Bishop Diego head coach Jason Donnelly. “It was great to see the boys respond from a tough outing last time out and play really well.”
John Harris led the Cardinals with 14 kills and nine digs. Mike Agnoli contributed with six kills while Austin Bohnett had nine kills and 11 digs. Luca Jordano finished with six kills, seven digs, 2 aces on the night.
“Luca Jordano returned from an illness and even wihout being one-hundred percent, he gave us some great play and leadership tonight,” added coach Donnelly.
Coach Donnelly also gave high praise to Brolin Parris. Throughout the game, the setter made some nice decisions and played consistent.
With the victory, Bishop Diego improves their record to 5-3 overall, 4-1 league. The Cardinals will play host to Cate on Tuesday.
