Bishop Diego’s boys volleyball team swept its season opener on Wednesday, a 25-20, 25-18, 25-13 victory over Hueneme.
Austin Bohnett had seven kills for the Cardinals. Setter Brolin Parris ran the offense and had a few extended service runs.
“It was a good first test for us,” reported Cardinals head coach Jason Donnelly. “We got better as the match progressed and it was nice get some young guys much needed Varsity game experience”
Bishop Diego won’t waste any time beginning its Tri-Valley League schedule, starting with a match at Malibu on Thursday.
