Patrick Corpuz and Miles Baldwin teamed up in doubles and held their own, but the rest of the Chargers were in trouble in a 14-4 non-league loss to visiting Westlake.
The Warriors featured five-star and four-star level singles players and it resulted in a 9-0 sweep for Westlake on that side.
Corpuz and Baldwin claimed three of DP’s points by winning 6-2, 6-2, 6-1. The other point came from Quinn Hensley and Vincent Villano.
“I am proud of our team for how tough they stayed throughout the match. The camaderie and support from the audience were immense,” reported Chargers head coach Liz Frech.
Dos Pueblos (1-2) travels to Oaks Christian for its next match on Monday. Westlake improves to 3-1 with Friday’s victory.
